“Obama Love”…Absolutely and Here’s Why!
It just hit me like a ton of bricks…The McCainiacs just don’t get it. They are so disconnected from the reality of many other American citizens, circa 2000-2008; they truly do not get what this election means and is about for us-other voters. I guess you might ask what brought me to this realization… Was it McCain’s camp sparring with the Obama camp about “the surge”; or was it the McCain camp’s attempt to do an end-around on Obama’s speech at the Israeli Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem? Actually no, it was a McCain creation called “Obama Love”.
For some of us, this election is about the Resurrection of Reason into the political discourse and activities of our country. For some of us, it is about a horizon filled with hope for a future, any future that does not include Armageddon. For some of us, it is about a president that demonstrates the capacity to learn. To apply that capacity in learning from his/her mistakes, and to take those lessons forward by demonstrating the capacity to adapt and adjust to whatever situation arises. For some of us, defeating the Absence of Reason is what this election is about.
McCain’s “Obama Love” is a weak attempt to denigrate that vision—the vision for a sane and reason-able country. It also provides irrefutable evidence that they just don’t get it. They don’t get that many of us have suffered intellectually, spiritually, and politically throughout the morally and philosophically bankrupt years of the Bush Administration. They are the non-believers—how weird is that?
From Audacity of Hope Speech, B. Obama, 2004:
“I’m not talking about blind optimism here the almost willful ignorance that thinks unemployment will go away if we just don’t think about it, or the health care crisis will solve itself if we just ignore it. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about something more substantial. It’s the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs; the hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores; the hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta; the hope of a millworker’s son who dares to defy the odds; the hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him, too.” From: AmericanRhetoric.com: http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/convention2004/barackobama2004dnc.htm

I agree. I have a problem with McCain supporters assuming I only want to vote for Obama because I’m black. It’s BS. I wanted to vote for Hillary until her head spun around and she started to spit out pea soup. Then I examined Obama closer & realized he’s definitely the better candidate between himself & McCain.
I am by no means a fan of John McCain. I have absolutely refused to endorse him, and am the first to nail him. He is nothing more than a democrat wearing an R label.
However, this Obama you speak of is nothing more then empty platitudes and cliches - platitudes and cliches stolen from others. He is not even capable of producing his own. There is nothing new in what he says. It’s all been said before. And take the guy off the TelePromper and can not formulate a coherent sentence. We get uh, uh, uh, uh, uh…………….. He is painful to listen to.
Obama is nothing. He is a fabrication of the media. He is a markist at heart that must be told by others what to do and what to say.
