The Season of Bad Behavior

Published by khlindsey at 12:01 pm under Current Events, politics Edit This

‘Tis the Season of Bad Behavior…

Anyone who knows me knows silence from me  is meaningful. Yes, I have an opinion about Senator Wanna-be Burris: Man what are you thinking? Have you no dignity or respect? Obviously not.

Obviously, you do not respect process. Obviously, you do not respect the United States Senate. But most problematic: obviously you do not respect the will of the people you so quickly wish to throw under the bus — the people of the State of Illinois. I can not imagine how those people must be feeling right now.

Just because you can do something does not always mean you should. I think it is highly probable that the Burris Senate appointment by that Blogo-person (whose name I honestly do not care to know how to spell) will stand up in court. My question is: Why would anyone who truly cares about the State of Illinois accept an appointment that comes under such questionable circumstances?

This is not funny. This is not a joke. This is a sad moment in U.S. political history…like we don’t have anything constructive to do or talk about. It is time to get busy with the business of the people. It would be nice if the first order of business included a cease and desist  action concerning the perpetuation of governmental mockery by so-called officials…

And another thing…if people keep using the word “taint” to describe the Burris situation, I’m going to go freakin’ apeshit.

The Senate is one of the most elite clubs in the country. It’s gotta be hard to turn that down. At the same time, under the circumstances, it’ll be difficult for Burris to be anything but a seatwarmer while on the Hill.

Burris is a loon, just like Blago.
